Aydoğan Koc, born in 1957 in Turkey, is a seasoned professional with a rich background in aerospace and mechanical engineering. He holds degrees from German institutions, namely Stuttgart and Darmstadt Universities. His philosophy and strength lie in leveraging successful collaborations with distinguished experts in their respective fields and building networks to support the core team at KOC CONSULTING, ultimately realizing the strategic objectives of clients.
Aydoğan Koc commenced his professional journey as a development engineer in the advanced design office of military aircraft at EADS (formerly MBB/DASA). Progressing through the ranks, he culminated his career as a senior executive at EADS Space. With over 19 years of experience at Airbus and Eurofighter, Koc played pivotal roles in business development, procurement, and the execution of international projects and collaborations, showcasing his prowess as an integrator and entrepreneur in the aviation industry.
In response to the globalized and internationalized aviation market and the growing demand for excellent consultancy services, Aydoğan Koc founded KOC CONSULTING companies in Munich and Ankara. His entrepreneurial spirit also led him to establish the THK Aircraft Company (A.Ş.) at Ankara Etimesgut Airport in December 2011, in partnership with the Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) and Iren Dornier, the grandson of renowned aircraft designer Claude Dornier. Serving as the General Manager and Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Board of THK Aircraft Company, Koc demonstrated his leadership acumen in steering the first Turkish Sports and Training Aircraft Company.
Between 2010 and 2012, Aydoğan Koc served as a Board Member of the Turkish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Berlin, Germany. His significant contributions to aviation and space are reflected in numerous published books, including the bestselling “Why Doesn’t the Sky Fall on Our Heads?” in 2005. With a special pilot license, Koc spends his leisure time engaging in private flights, a testament to his enduring passion for aviation and space.
